This wedding was a beautiful coming together of so many incredible elements...a gorgeous, sweet couple, a fantastic and creative event planner, Linda Howard, and a phenomenal caterer/designer, Someone's in the Kitchen. Top it all of with a stunning location like Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and you have a picture-perfect wedding that made my job incredibly easy!

There were so many lovely moments to capture, and so many beyond gorgeous details that it was just a dream to photograph. Thank you Karen and Fraser for inviting me to be part of your incredible day!

There was something so incredibly romantic about this wedding, I think it was a combination of a wonderful couple, a classic, gorgeous location like the Bel-Air Bay Club, and a moody and misty day on the Pacific.  But honestly, if I were to choose any place to have a wedding on a rainy day, it would be the Bel-Air Bay Club, where there are just as many beautiful places for photographs inside as there are outside!

We managed to even squeeze in a few photos outside of the beautiful Saint Monica's Church after the ceremony on the way back to the club. The reception was flawless thanks to the always fabulous Nira DeLuna of Amber Events and her team, who kept everyone safe and dry on the way to the church, and kept the champagne flowing when everyone returned!

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, I hope that is especially true for Sandy and Alex. Congratulations you two!

I had the wonderful good fortune of meeting this family last year through my wonderful coordinator friend, Dana Abrams, when I photographed Heather's brother's wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel. They are all such warm, fun and down-to-earth people that I was thrilled when they asked if I would photograph Heather and Craig's gorgeous wedding at the spectacular Casa del Mar.

It was a crazy, rainy, weekend but we had the good fortune of having a short break in the rain so we could head out behind Casa del Mar to the promenade and get some wonderful photos along the beach and in front of the Santa Monica Pier. We were even joined by a group of 15 British bike riding tourists who wanted to be part of the action!

Heather and Craig chose a gorgeous turquoise palate in honor of the beachside location, and the lighting and florals by Hidden Garden made the room absolutely magical.

It was such an honor to photograph such a special day for these families...both times!

I am so incredibly fortunate that so many of my wedding clients have asked me to photograph their little ones when they arrive. It's so much fun for me to document the next chapter in my clients' lives. So when Jamie and Kirk were expecting this little guy, I was thrilled that Jamie called me to set up a newborn session. We had so much fun with that session that we decided to document baby's first year!

So one year later, what better way to celebrate and photograph his first birthday than by heading back to the beach where Jamie and Kirk were married.  We managed to sneak in a few really fun "then and now" shots, too.

Thank you so much Jamie and Kirk for letting me capture such a special time in your lives, it was such a fun year!
