I am just thrilled and honored to be featured in the new issue of Nikon World magazine. It was such a pleasure working Nikon and talking about my approach to photographing and capturing the world of children...the running, splashing, stick collecting, tomato picking, flying in the air and falling down world of children.
To be profiled by Nikon is a true honor and I am eternally grateful to all of the families who allow me to photograph their little ones and trust me with the privilege of capturing these wondrous moments in their children's lives.
The entire article will be available online on Nikon World's website in the next week or so. I will add the link as soon as it is live!

I love doing engagment shoots. First of all, it's a fantastic way for me to spend some extra, fun time with the bride and groom before the wedding so we really get to know each other...and get great shots as well! I really collaborate with each couple to figure out the best location for our shoot depending on what spot will be fun or meaningful or really fit their personalities.
So when the bride to be suggested Hollywood Boulevard for their engagment shoot I was so excited! The combination of grit and glamour, the old Hollywood architecture mixed with the flash of Hollywood and Highland made a perfect backdrop for a very sexy, sunset shoot. We had an absolute ball working the boulevard...and turned more than just a few heads in the process. And when you are competing with a multitude of costumed characters, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and human "statues," that is not so easy to do! I can't wait for the wedding!

I met this wonderful family a few years ago when I photographed the bride's sister Miri's gorgeous wedding at Brandeis-Bardin. This entire family is is so lovely and warm and fun to be around (and photograph, of course!) At Miri's wedding I just loved how passionately everyone embraced both the sanctity and celebration of the wedding day and enjoyed every, single moment.
So I was thrilled when Keren called me to photograph her wedding at Castle-Green in Pasadena. It was a perfect day - perfect weather, perfect location and overflowing with all of the incredible love, passion and joy that I loved capturing at Miri's wedding. Thanks to the amazing work of Samantha at La Bella Dia events and the always stunning florals from Jackie Combs, the day was picture perfect. When you add InJoy Orchestra, a band that TRULY knows how to make a party, you go above and beyond!

This wedding was a double bonus for me, not only did I get to spend the day with an incredibly sweet and wonderful couple, Jen and Taylor, whose engagement session I posted a while back, but I also spent the day with one of my absolute favorite coordinators, Dana Haber Abrams! The day was absolutely gorgeous at the Fairmont Miramar, and the guys got ready at the Huntley across the street which is always such a great spot. We took a little detour after the ceremony to the cliff overlooking the ocean and Santa Monica Pier and then headed back to the Fairmont Miramar for a fabulous party. Dana did a spectacular job, of course, and the whole day was just perfect!
